I searched for a website that had appropriate articles for young readers that she could read & that she would be interested in and enjoy. When I found dogonews.com I never thought it would be such a hit. When I suggested she start a blog, I never thought it would be such a hit either. However, we still go over current news every week the good, the bad & the ugly (in a VERY kid friendly fashion) so when she enters high school she is ready to tackle Newsweek & The Gray Lady articles with me on a weekly basis. I emailed my friend Michelle in Italy and she wrote about MEEEEE on her website and my question about shaving goats. There is this goat called a cashmere goat. My Mamma says cashmere is great. The best. I don’t know maybe it is but I want something very soft and cozy!!!!! The pictures of the Cashmere Goats are really cute!!!

Then we goggled them and we saw these baby cashmere goats. I want both of them and they kinda look like lambs too. I have a purple lamb from when I was a baby and I still love it!!!! We had to email the people to ask if we could use their photo. They said yes. They are so nice! Look at their website: http://dariaandandyblog.com

I can’t have a goat now because I live in the city and there is nowhere to put it but once I have a yard, it will be perfect. My Mamma has talked to Michelle about the poop too and my mamma thinks maybe goat poop might be better than lamb poop too.

I like goat milk a lot when I was little mamma called it “special milk” because I was allergic to cows milk. A goat is called a capra in italy. Also, if we had a goat we would not have to mow the lawn. I think goats are great but not as good as cats. I could have cats and goats.

Mamma Mia : Welcome to the FARM! We got to do all of our training in our costumes but no swords that day. We did have a piñata. It was great! My Zia sent me my costume because I think they do not have Superhero costumes here. I like superhero’s and I wanted to be Bat Girl. I think my costume was the best because I was the only superhero. My Mom took pictures of everyone and even the food. Italians are not so used to Halloween so Mamma made cupcakes and we took them to our neighbors and I was in my costume. They all were surprised and they gave me a candy back too. The piñata was a paper bag filled with candy. Remember, this is Italy & we are not close to Mexico or have any type of Mexican themed stores anywhere. I am lucky to find tortillas & canned refried beans when I want to cook Mexican. Bat Girl did enjoy walking the block with her cupcakes in hand on Saturday night while she collected candy in trade & then on Sunday Halloween went back to some houses for a 2nd loot. Not bad for a 1st Halloween experience in Italy. She LOVES her new Auntie Susie hair cut & FYI all scherma is fencing the sport she plays & loves!!!
On her Nutella signatures she has close to 200 & yes a far cry from 10,000. But she told me from September thru November she was sure to get them. Life should be interesting here. We went and saw Giuseppe and Mamma said if I wanted a piece of candy from his basket I had to ask him. He is 90 years old and my relative. He speaks no English so I had to ask in Italian. He said yes and said I could them all. My Mom said no, only one but Maria the lady that helps him let me eat 3 and gave me a whole bag to take home. I like it when we go see him. I like him a lot!

Mamma Mia: Yes Giuseppe is 90 & loves LuccaBella! She was so nervous to ask him for a piece of candy because he is loud (he is a little hard of hearing) but when she asked, he lit up like a Christmas Tree & he wanted to give her the entire basket. They are adorable together. The young & the old, a special bond!

Just one more Spoonful!

http://www.luccainitaly.com/1/post/2010/09/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit1.html

http://www.luccainitaly.com/1/post/2010/09/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit1.html#comments

Uncategorized

My Mamma caught me in bed with the Nutella. I thought I was in trouble but she laughed. She took it away and did not let me eat anymore. I said Ti prego like 20 times and she still said no and then she got mad because I kept asking. She did say I could put this on my blog. I haven’t put anything on my blog because I got in trouble and couldn’t use the computer but I don’t want to talk about that. OK, that’s all. Oh, that is my zanzara net. It would be better if my Mom couldn’t see through it.

Please sign my Save Nutella page and send it to everyone you know. I need 10,000 signatures. Thank you!

Mamma Mia: Yes, I did catch her in bed with the Nutella bottle & a SPOON! No bread (pane) or anything else. She was in her own little heaven (paradiso). I don’t think it was “Pleeeeeaaaaassssseeeee, Mamma” (Ti prego, Mamma) 20 times but it was A LOT & I did have to draw a line in the sand for her to STOP! For everyone who doesn’t know, zanzara = mosquito and they LOVE LuccaBella. Thank goodness I can see through it because who knows what would go on in there.
