This is not Nutella but it is candy. We went and saw Giuseppe and Mamma said if I wanted a piece of candy from his basket I had to ask him. He is 90 years old and my relative. He speaks no English so I had to ask in Italian. He said yes and said I could them all. My Mom said no, only one but Maria the lady that helps him let me eat 3 and gave me a whole bag to take home. I like it when we go see him. I like him a lot!

Mamma Mia: Yes Giuseppe is 90 & loves LuccaBella! She was so nervous to ask him for a piece of candy because he is loud (he is a little hard of hearing) but when she asked, he lit up like a Christmas Tree & he wanted to give her the entire basket. They are adorable together. The young & the old, a special bond!

So sweet...literally! I grew up in my grandparents' house, so I've always loved being around older people--and not just because they give you candy, although that's definitely a plus ;)

LuccaBella,
How are you? I see you have been busy writing away on your blog here. I am so enjoying hearing about your Italian adventures - I am also very envious!! At least I can live through you. Did your mom tell you I might be coming to Italy over Christmas break? I will be bringing my two sons (I think you met Alex, but now you will meet Evan too). I am going to take Italian again so we can speak Italian to each other when I get there!! Tia is going to take it with me too!! Please tell that crazy dad of yours ciao and give your mamma a hug for me. I miss seeing you across the hall at Presentation. Remember if you have ANY questions, just email me!! Talk to you soon
